Ash Vale is a great place to live! Located in Surrey, and within the Borough of Guildford, Ash Vale is part of Ash Parish. There are a wide range of houses, from modern starter homes, to Tudor houses. The Basingstoke canal runs through the centre of the parish, providing nice walks all year round.

Ash Vale is north of the Surrey Hills Area of Natural Beauty, providing amazing hiking and cycling routes. It also borders the Ash Ranges, which is a 1,392-hectare nature reserve, full of long walks, wildlife and open countryside to explore.

Is Ash Vale a nice place to live?

Transport in Ash Vale

From Ash Vale station you can be in London Waterloo within 45 Min, making it excellent for commuters. From Ash Vale Station you can also get to Farnham, Aldershot and Guildford very quickly. If trains are not your thing, there are very regular bus services to Aldershot, Guildford and Camberley. There is also the A331 which links the M3 to the Hogs back.

Ash Vale Schools

There is a range of schools for all ages. Ash Manor School is the main Secondary School in the area, catering for 11 to 16 year olds, and has a “Good” rating from Ofstead (at time of writing)

Shops in Ash Vale

There is a small local shopping area in the centre of Ash Parish, with a Chinese takeaway, Kebab House, Fish and Chips, Lloyds Pharmacy, a cafe and Vale Furnitures.

Ash Vale Amenities

There is a GP surgery in Ash Vale, and the Ash Centre is a community building hosting events, clubs and Ash Parish Council.
